Design and construction characteristics in this chest point to an attribution to either of two of the most skilled artisans working in Shepherdstown in the northern Valley of Virginia at the turn of the century: Charles Cameron or William Eaty.  It  is constructed of the choicest grained solid walnut and survives in outstanding condition with original brasses.
